Meet Our Founder
Dear Friend,
I’m Valerie, also known as Valerie with the Big Hair.
After decades working around the world in diplomacy and leadership, I began to notice something that did not change no matter where I went. Different languages. Different cultures. Different food. Endless debates about who makes the best tea.
Same story.
Women were navigating midlife mostly on their own.
We were juggling aging parents and adult children. Careers that asked for more and gave back less. Identity shifts no one prepared us for. Bodies changing without permission. Brain fog thick enough to trip over. Hot flashes that could fry an egg. Sleep patterns that quietly disappeared sometime after 38.
And somehow, we were still expected to keep smiling. Keep performing. Keep nurturing. Keep pretending everything was fine.
There was no guidebook. No global sisterhood where we could ask, “Is this normal?” No space to laugh at the absurdity and grieve the weight of it all together.
So I decided to build what I could not find.
The Not Done Yet Movement, is my love letter to every woman who has ever felt unseen, overwhelmed, or quietly unraveling while still holding her life together.
It is a global community. A storytelling project. And an honest conversation about what it really feels like to be a woman over 38.
Messy. Magnificent. Exhausted. Evolving. Still showing up.
If you have ever felt like you were navigating this chapter alone, I want you to know you are not.
You belong here.
Have a beautiful day, on purpose (because you can)!
Valerie
